1. What we collect

Djinero is a manual-entry personal finance app. The only financial data we collect is the data you enter yourself: transactions, account balances, budgets, savings goals, debts, investments and recurring rules. We also collect your name and email address through the authentication system.

2. How we use your data

Your data is used to display your financial dashboard, calculate totals and net worth, and generate optional AI insights. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your financial data for advertising.

3. AI processing

Five features can send data to an external AI provider, and only when you actively use them:

  • The Lamp — category totals, account balances and transaction amounts for the period being analysed.
  • Receipt scanning — the photo of the receipt you choose to scan.
  • Investment lookup — the ticker symbol you type.
  • Price refresh — the ticker symbols you hold, without quantities, cost basis or account values.

Nothing is sent in the background. Your name, email address and account numbers are never sent. The provider retains data according to its own policy. Djinero does not use your data to train AI models.

AI processing is off by default. It sends nothing until you switch it on under Settings → AI features, and switching it back off stops all five immediately. Every figure shown anywhere in Djinero is calculated on your own device from your own records, with no AI involved, whether the setting is on or off. 4. Data storage

Your data is stored in our database and tied to your user account. Access is restricted by row-level security so that only you can see your own records. We do not store bank credentials because Djinero does not connect to any bank.

5. Your rights

You can view, edit and delete your data at any time from within the app. To delete specific records, use the Settings page. To delete your account and all associated data, see our Data Deletion page.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will reflect the date of the last update at the top of this page.
